6Moons test Lindemann musicbook 15 DSD – Op de audio review site 6Moons schreef hoofdredacteur Srajan Ebaen een prachtig review over de Lindemann musicbook:15 DAC/CD-speler/voorversterker. Zijn Consensus (conclusie):
“A trip to Lindemann’s website and FaceBook pages shows dsd musicbook accolades dropping like ripe peaches. From performance to construction, from featurization including easy firmware updates to cosmetics and measurements, reviewers and their test bench colleagues alike are unanimous. It’s easy to see why. This review merely slots itself in line. There’s the immaculate 39-page manual compendium which clearly explains every function. There’s the app which adds Internet radio, Podcasts, Tidal, playlist/favorites creation, search functions, cover art, input naming plus incorporates all the remote commands. There’s the micro USB charge port on the remote and the ‘info’ button telling you its charge state in a percentage. Even the shipping carton is tops. It all makes for a formidably executed package deal. It deserves its designers’ moniker of universal music source. For them, dsd-ising the musicbook wasn’t kowtowing to fashion. Their massive then €8’500 D680 SACD player dropped in 2002 as the first such German machine after Sony/Japan created the genre. Norbert Lindemann has championed SACD/DSD for 15 years already [right]!”
Lees dit:“The musicbook’s direct drive isn’t a hold-you-over convenience feature until you can afford that big bad gold-plated preamplifier. It comes with the gain, current drive and non-lossy volume required to eliminate a dedicated linestage from the list of necessities. If you don’t need the CD drive either, make it the model 10 and call it €2’800 not €3’200. Anyone shopping remotely in that neighbourhood would be crazy not to exploit amp-direct mode. Ditto the ¼” port. […] Once again, the features offered aren’t afterthoughts to tick off a completion madness list. They’re there only because they’ve been executed properly. And, they’re scaled to real life not extremist needs.”
